#vBrownBag Podcast of Plenty

Hello readers! Josh Atwell here. The #vBrownBag crew here at ProfessionalVMware.com has been extremely blessed in 2012 with amazing community support for what we organize on the podcast. In 2012 we’ve managed to produce a VCP5 Series, VCAP5-DCA, VCAP5-DCD series as well as months focused on storage and security. We’ve expanded into APAC, now starting in Europe, and a Spanish Language podcast is in the works.

VMworld 2012 in San Francisco and Barcelona gave us an opportunity to organize and produce the VMware community TechTalks. These lightning sessions allowed people in the community, many who did not get their sessions selected, to still share their thoughts and knowledge. Things went so well it looks almost certain that we’ll be continuing this in 2013 at both VMworlds and perhaps even expanding to other shows. To say that we are blown away by everyone’s willingness to contribute would be a gross understatement.

What’s Coming Next

I’m happy to announce that we’re continuing to step up the game in providing what we hope is the best community content in the industry. November’s US #vBrownBag schedule is as follows:

Nov 7 – Special Guest: Steve Herrod, CTO – VMware
Nov 14 – VCDX BootCamp P1 – John Arrasjid, Principal Architect – VMware
Nov 21 – No Podcast – Thanksgiving Holiday
Nov 28 – VCDX BootCamp P2 – John Arrasjid, Principal Architect – VMware
Dec 5 – VCDX BootCamp P3 – John Arrasjid, Principal Architect – VMware

You read that correctly. We have an amazing November ahead of us and we hope you all are able to free up your Wednesday evenings 8:30pm EST/5:30pm PST to join us live for these excellent guests and their content. Register at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/613559281.

If you have any special questions for Dr. Herrod on Nov. 7 please feel free to provide them in the comments. Our discussion with Steve will focus on community and certifications and will lead into a community Q&A as time allows.

VCDX Bootcamp – #vBrownBag Style!

John Arrasjid’s VCDX Bootcamp is coming to the #vBrownBag podcast! John is Principal Architect at VMware (and @VCDX001). He and his team have been working hard at various VMware events (VMworlds and vForums) to provide aspiring VCDXs helpful tips and guidance on how to be successful in your VCDX pursuit. We are extremely grateful for John’s willingness and enthusiasm to share this knowledge on the #vBrownBag podcast.

VCDX, #vBrownBag, and 2013

We have several things planned for 2013 for the aspiring VCDX candidate so stay tuned. We’ll be working with John and many of the other current VCDXers to generate meaningful content and resources to help you achieve your professional goals. As always, we hope that if you gain help from the podcast you pay it forward and present at a future #vBrownBag podcast!
