Starting on October 1st and going through at least January, the ProfessionalVMware.com #vBrownBag podcast will bring you a series designed to prepare and strengthen your DevOps knowledge and skill set. Much like we did for Couch to OpenStack and Automate ALL the Things series we have setup a Google+ community and “homework” to give you some hands on work with the various topics we are covering.
The series will kick off with a session on just what exactly this whole DevOps thing is to get everyone on the same level. We will lay down some Git knowledge before we dive into several sessions on Configuration Management tools; specifically Puppet, Chef, Ansible, SaltStack, PowerShell and PowerShell DSC and CF Engine. We’re not stopping there, though. We are working on more sessions to expand on things like containers and monitoring.
