BrownBag – Duncan Epping Edition

So we’re going to have a special one-off Brown Bag to do a Technical Deep-Dive with the one, the only, Duncan Epping (Of yellow-bricks fame) and Frank Denneman (here).

Who is Duncan?

Well, I figure most of y’all know this already, but here is the Bio:

Duncan Epping is Principal Architect in the Technical Marketing group at VMware and is focused on storage, ESXi convergence and vSphere architecture. Previously, he worked at Oracle and multiple consultancy companies where he had more than 10 years of experience designing and developing infrastructures and deployment best practices. Duncan was among the first VMware Certified Design Experts (VCDX 007). He is the co-author of multiple books including “VMware vSphere 5 Clustering Technical Deepdive”, “VMware vSphere 4.1 HA and DRS Technical Deepdive”, the “VMware vSphere 4.0 Quick Start Guide” and “Foundation for Cloud Computing with VMware vCloud Director”.

Who is Frank?

Frank is a Consulting Architect working for VMware as part of the Professional Services Organization and working primarily with large Enterprise customers and Service Providers. I focus on designing large vSphere Infrastructures and specializes in Resource Management, DRS in general and storage.
