As LucD points out:
When you attend a conference like VMworld you get lots of goodies pushed your way. With some of these you only realise when you are back home what you were given. The vSphere 4.0 Quick Start Guide is a good example of such a little gem that came my way during the last VMworld. The intention of the authors (Thomas, Duncan, Dave, Stuart, Alan and Bernie) was to produce a 150-page booklet containing the answers to all the practical questions you might have when you are setting up or managing a vSPhere environment. The result became a nearly 250-page booklet crammed with advice, processes, procedures and best practices. And to top it all off they included a lot of PowerCLI scripts.
This is one of those bits of awesome that needs to be in the hands of every VMware administrator. Really. Also congrats and thanks to the authors:
It seems in my haste I forgot to link the origianl post. Sorry LucD. Here is the original.
Perhaps tell where and how to get this??
Thank you…
Sorry for not mentioning it in the post. From the original: http://lucd.info/?p=366& This isn't quite available yet. The copies LucD and I (and a few others I'm sure) were preview copies released at VMworld.
Loved to read your blog. I would like to suggest you that traffic show most people read blogs on Mondays. So it should encourage bloggers to write new write ups over the weekend primarily.
